Catherine Warnest.

Grew up in Charleville QLD. Always had a love for Art, Outdoor, and Animals.

Studied Art at the University of Southern Queensland, found living in a city very hard, so between Uni and working travelled through out North QLD. and the top of NT.

Started working in the shearing sheds in 1997, and in 1998 began shearing around Winton and Boulia in QLD. Encouraged to go south shearing, where she met her husband Shannon.

From there they travelled Australia and overseas shearing.

Over the years Catherine has a few exhibitions, book cover and a mural at Augathella QLD.

Catherine and Shannon purchased the Willalooka Tavern in 2001, where they now both live and also  run a small farm and are TAFE trainers, training Shearers and Woolhandlers.

Catherine is looking forward to the future and the art works that are waiting to happen.

Julia Davis

Julia is a self taught artist. Her work displays a realistic interpretation of her environment.

With passion for portraits and life painting, subjects are not always available, so often has to resort to cows as her subjects instead.

Jaime Prosser

I am a 30 year old artist, working full time at my profession from a studio based upon my husbands farm near Keith.

I began my interest in art from an early age, continuing on through a Visual Arts degree at Uni of SA.  From this point I have concentrated on making the creation of images my life, and am still pursuing this end 9 years later. Painting in my studio, I am surrounded by photos and sketches, ranges of colours and snapped moments, which cover the walls and floor.

This collection helps to capture what I find interesting and helps me to piece together fragments of visual images onto canvas and paper.  My work concentrates upon the realistic interpretation of what I see and feel close too within my environment in the South East and in my travels.

The vibrant red colour of rust flowing over corrugated iron, or the quiet rustling of long, dry grass in an expanse of space, are a few visual experiences I like to portray.
